Medication Management

If you are a patient with multiple medications or a carer looking after someone juggling multiple medications, then we can help do the heavy lifting for you by managing your medications.

This involves packing your medications in a special dosing device called a dose administration aid (DAA). DAAs can assist you to clearly see when to take your medicines and quickly check you have taken the medication. We also take care of your prescriptions and let you know when you need to see your doctor for new scripts.

The DAA will be made up and ready to collect at the pharmacy or delivered to you, saving you time waiting in line!

Medical Certificate

We can provide Absence for Work Certificates to verify:

We can issue certificates for conditions within our scope of practice only such as minor ailments. The certificate is issued at the pharmacist’s discretion. If your illness or injury is outside a pharmacist’s ability to assess, we will refer you to a doctor or other relevant healthcare professional.

The certificate can cover a few days of leave and cannot be backdated. You may be asked for a form of identification (ID). If you need an Absence from Work Certificate for a carer the person who is ill must be present.

Consultations for an Absence from Work Certificate are conducted in-store by an experienced pharmacist and can vary in length. Fees apply for this service.

Medicine Review

We can conduct an in-store review of your medications or an in-depth home visit with a pharmacist. A medicine review is important to help you stay on top of your medications, particularly if you are taking 5 or more medicines. The pharmacist can help you to understand what it is used for, how to use it best, help you fix any issues with it, assess whether it is causing any side effect(s), the appropriateness of the medication and answer any of your questions.

See your pharmacist to organise a 1 on 1 chat.

Blood Pressure Checks

Maintaining healthy blood pressure is important because high blood pressure is a risk factor for diseases such as heart attack, kidney failure and stroke.

Keeping a close eye on your blood pressure is a good way to catch changes early and take appropriate action.

A good way to monitor your blood pressure is through in-pharmacy blood-pressure monitoring and recording. We provide this service in store. No appointment is needed. Just come in store and our friendly team can assist you.
